Kendall’s ‘12 Days of Caring’ began on Monday, December 2nd.  Kendall’s ‘12 Days of Caring’ is a holiday event designed to give back through a variety of outreach activities centered around our customers, the community, and our employees. Each year, we spend 12 days focusing on our Kendall Cares mission, giving back to local-non-profit organizations, and showing appreciation for our customers and employees. Below are some of our favorite highlights:

Day One – Cheers for Charities and Children  (Marine’s Toys for Tots Donation)

Kendall Auto Idaho was delighted to participate in the 670KBOI and the USMC Reserves Toys For Tots program this year. They were able to fill to large bins of toys and had a ton of fun shopping for others!

Day Two – Spread Holiday Cheer

Kendall Auto Idaho Team Members submitted names of local non-profits they would like to support. Three names were pulled and the non-profit was given a $100 donation and the team member that submitted the organization received a $25 gift card as well. The following organizations were randomly selected:

Lexie McCowan – Children’s Home Society of Idaho

Sam Tanzer – The Chive Charities

Stephanie Nash – Little Heroes

For Day 4 of the 12 Days of Caring we decided to share the warmth with a Hot Cocoa and Donut Bar, with all the fixings. Thanks for all your hard work and stay warm Idaho!

Day Five – Glad to Be Merry, Hoping to Be Exceptional

Kendall Cares is designed to give back to the community through a variety of partnerships throughout  the year. We strive to make our communities happier, healthier and safer places to live. At Kendall, giving back to those we serve has been a cornerstone of our company for decades, and we are constantly searching for new ways of engaging with our communities. This year, Kendall recognized an employee who has demonstrated passion for the Kendall Cares program through a strong work ethic throughout 2020. Kendall Cares was honored to recognize Kelli Boettcher (Quick Lane Advisor at Kendall Ford of Meridian) and Chris Roland (Lot Manager at Kendall Idaho Center Auto Mall).

Day Six – It’s Not Ugly, It’s Festive!

Thank you to all who showed off their Christmas attire on Day 6 of the 12 Days of Caring. Ugly Christmas sweater contests are a great way for our teams to join in the festivities and show off their creativity – the tackier, the better. The winners are as follows:

Kendall Ford of Meridian – Tony Davenport – Salesman (1st Place)

Kendall Idaho Center Auto Mall – Jhaesea Drake– Finance Manager and Trenton McCarty – Service Advisor (1st Place)

Day Seven – Kendall Black Friday

What do Kendall Cares and Animals have in common? They Both Love Others Unconditionally.

Kendall Auto Idaho took advantage of Black Friday shopping this year in a special way.  Before the 12 Days of Caring began, Kendall team members submitted names of local non-profits that they would like to support and several were chosen over the 12 Days of Caring. On Day 7, Kendall chose to go shopping and donate a Kendall Cares car full of items to a local non-profit.

Day Eight – Snowing Educational Excellence

“Those who know, do. Those that understand, teach” ~Aristotle

Kendall Auto Idaho surprised an Idaho School with goodies for their teachers and staff on Day 8 of Kendall’s 12 Days of Caring! Support and guidance for our next generation is beneficial and necessary for our future.

Day Nine – It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Kendall

On the 9th Day of Kendall’s 12 Days of Caring, a couple Idaho Kendall team members went into the community on a mission to say thank you, spread holiday cheer, and give back. Once a Kendall license plate was spotted, Kendall would engage with them, say “thanks for being a wonderful Kendall Customer,” and give them a gift card for free gas. Kendall interacted with clients in many places, such as parking lots, a dog park, and even in the middle of the road at a stop light. It is true joy to provide joy to our clients as well as community.

Day Ten – What Elf?

Employees enjoyed a game of hide and seek in search of a little visitor. The first person at Kendall Idaho Center Auto Mall and Kendall Ford of Meridian to spot the elf received a gift card for their exceptional hunting skills.

And the Winners are:

The Idaho Center elf was found by Service Advisor, Gabe Basaldua and the Meridian Ford elf by Fleet Manager, Matt Norris! Nice work!!

Day Eleven – Christmas Gifts, Christmas Trees, Christmas is a Time to Please

All Kendall Auto Idaho team members were put into a hat and one was randomly drawn. Steve Grimes (Kendall Idaho Center Auto Mall Salesperson) was selected and received a fully decorated Christmas tree as well as gifts for his boys.

Day Twelve – Wrapping Up the Joy

On the last day of Kendall Auto Idaho’s 12 Days of Caring, team members delivered 100’s of essential and fun items that were put in handmade stockings for children in the Nampa School District.

Thank you to everyone who made our Kendall 12 Days of Caring an event to remember. Can’t wait for next year!
