In honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday, March is designated as National Reading Month – a month to motivate Americans of all ages to read every day. Kendall is proud to band together with our community to collect new and gently used books, journals, and art supplies for Cascade Youth & Family Center.

Books are powerful. They transport us to other worlds, for adventures, to learn, to feel, to understand, to grow. Every child should have the opportunity to explore other worlds, fall in love with favorite characters, and develop a love for reading.

Items Needed:

1. New & Gently Used Books
   • Beginning Readers (books with 1-2 sentences per page, and 2-4 letter words)
   • I Can Read! titles (My First, level 1 and level 2 books)
   • All level children’s books with multicultural subjects
   • Chapter books (Example: Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Captain Underpants)
   • Young adult books
2. Journals
3. Art supplies
   • Paper, paint, markers, glue, scrapping supplies, glitter, tag board, pipe cleaners, magazines, yarn, starch, buttons, stickers, scissors, blank or lined paper

Donations can be dropped off to any Kendall Bend dealership March 1 -31
