Kendall’s ‘12 Days of Caring’ began on Monday, December 2nd. Kendall’s ‘12 Days of Caring’ is a holiday event designed to give back through a variety of outreach activities centered around our customers, the community, and our employees. Each year, we spend 12 days focusing on our Kendall Cares mission, giving back to local-non-profit organizations, and showing appreciation for our customers and employees. Below are some of our favorite highlights:
Day One – Christmas.. Gifting Back with Santa
As part of Kendall’s 12 Days of Caring, Santa, Mrs. Claus and elves joined the team to help spread holiday cheer to Community, Clients, Co-workers. Kendall Ford of Meridian and Kendall Idaho Center Auto Mall also donated $50 per every vehicle sold to the Ronald McDonald House.
Day Two – Christmas Gifts, Christmas Trees, Christmas is a Time to Please
All Kendall Auto Idaho team members were put into a hat and one was randomly drawn. Rachel Criffield (Kendall Idaho Center Auto Mall Deal Auditor) was selected and received a fully decorated Christmas tree as well as gifts for her and her daughters
Day Three – Spread Holiday Cheer
Kendall Auto Idaho Team Members submitted names of local non-profits they would like to support. Three names were pulled and the non-profit was given a $50 donation and the team member that submitted the organization received a $25 gift card as well. The following organizations were randomly selected:

Day Four – Ugly Sweater Contest
It’s Not Ugly, It’s Festive!
Thank you to all who showed off their Christmas attire on Day 4 of the 12 Days of Caring. Ugly Christmas sweater contests are a great way for our teams to join in the festivities and show off their creativity – the tackier, the better. The winners are as follows:
Kendall Ford of Meridian – Nathan Vandenbosch – Service Adviser (1st Place)
Kendall Idaho Center Auto Mall – Matt Byars – Desk Manager (1st Place) and Jake Robinson – Sales Manager (2nd Place)
Day Five – Kendall Black Friday
What do Kendall Cares and Animals have in common? They Both Love Others Unconditionally.
Kendall Auto Idaho took advantage of Black Friday shopping this year in a special way. Before the 12 Days of Caring began, Kendall team members submitted names of local non-profits that they would like to support and several were chosen over the 12 Days of Caring. On Day 5, Kendall chose to go shopping and donate a Kendall Cares car full of items to the West Valley Humane Society. Animals deserve love and joy too!
Day Six – It’s Beginning to Look A lot like Kendall
On Day 6 of Kendall’s 12 Days of Caring, a couple Idaho Kendall team members went into the community on a mission to say thank you, spread holiday cheer, and give back. Once a Kendall license plate was spotted, Kendall would engage with them, say “thanks for being a wonderful Kendall Customer,” and give them a gift card for free gas. Kendall interacted with clients in many places, such as parking lots, a dog park, and even in the middle of the road at a stop light. It is true joy to provide joy to our clients as well as community.
Day Seven – Kendall Adopt A Family
You never know who may needs a little more love. This year we selected a Kendall family to adopt. Kendall purchased gifts for the kids and made meals for the family hoping to bring a little more happiness this holiday season.
Day Eight – Showering Teachers with Joy

Kendall Auto Idaho surprised a couple Idaho Schools with goodies for their teachers and staff on Day 8 of Kendall’s 12 Days of Caring! Support and guidance for our next generation is beneficial and necessary for our future.
Day Nine – What Elf? (Elf Hunt and Costume)
Employees enjoyed a game of hide and seek in search of a little visitor. The Kendall Auto Idaho teams also got to dress up as an elf to win the best elf costume award.
And the Winners are:
The Idaho Center elf was found by Service Adviser Martin Moreno and the best elf costume went to Porter Deb Finn.

Day Eleven – Glad to Be Merry, Hoping to Be Exceptional
Kendall Cares is designed to give back to the community through a variety of partnerships throughout the year. We strive to make our communities happier, healthier and safer places to live. At Kendall, giving back to those we serve has been a cornerstone of our company for decades, and we are constantly searching for new ways of engaging with our communities. This year, Kendall recognized an employee who has demonstrated passion for the Kendall Cares program through volunteerism throughout 2019. Kendall Cares was honored to recognize Tamara Lopez (Salesperson at Kendall Ford of Meridian). “Tamara is always the first to volunteer and help with any Kendall Cares event or opportunity. This year is was a success thanks to the hard work and support from team members like Tamara. Thank you Tamara,” said Kendall Community Relations Manager Alishia Jonas.
Day Twelve – That’s a Wrap!
On the last day of Kendall Auto Idaho’s 12 Days of Caring, team members delivered 16 stockings to the Idaho Youth Ranch Hays House. The stockings contained all kinds of goodies such as gloves, hats, socks, games, journals, gum, and candy.
According to the Youth Ranch site,
“Hays House gives kids a safe, supportive, caring, stable place to live while we help them find their way forward. Our support services include life-skills classes, strength-based family and individual counseling from a master’s level clinician, structured education, and community-based recreation. Hays House also provides access to an accredited academic program for grades 9 to 12 that includes GED instruction and testing.”
We are thankful for all that the Idaho Youth Ranch provides to our youth.
Thank you to everyone who made our Kendall 12 Days of Caring an event to remember. Can’t wait for next year!
