CASUAL FOR A CURE

For the entire month of October, Kendall Bend employees had the opportunity to join the fight against breast cancer by spreading awareness and wearing jeans or pink every Friday with a donation to American Cancer Society. As we wrap up the month, the Kendall family would like to extend a huge thank you to our employees and the community for their participation.

YOUR DONATIONS will go toward breast cancer education, research, resources, and support for those experiencing it firsthand, families, individuals who have not been diagnosed yet, and beyond.

YOUR PARTICIPATION will help educate people, reduce the threat of breast cancer, and fund research that is necessary to find resources and a cure.

YOUR FUTURE is determined by the lifestyle you choose and how much you know. Here are some important things to remember:

• One in eight women in the US will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. Schedule your mammograms and all necessary appointments to increase your chances by early detection (The 5-year survival rate is 99% when breast cancer is found early!).
• Reduce your risk of cancer by…
  • Not smoking
  • Exercise regularly
  • Drink less alcohol
  • Schedule a yearly mammogram
