DESCRIPTION:Save the Date for Kendall’s Catwalk for a Cause Benefitting Choose Joy Foundation! Kendall Central Oregon is thrilled to announce we will be hosting the 2024 Catwalk event for a well-deserving nonprofit for the second year in a row. Join us for a night of fun\, fundraising\, and fashion with over 300 of Central Oregon’s business leaders\, community members\, models\, and their supporters. Catwalk for a Cause brings seventeen leaders from our business community to walk the runway at Kendall Toyota of Bend on Saturday\, May 11th. Enter a world of glitz\, glamour\, and Gatsby to support children who have been affected by substance abuse within their families by fundraising for the resources and initiatives led by Choose Joy Foundation. \nJoy Christiansen\, founder of Choose Joy Foundation\, is a compassionate individual who saw a need in our community. What started out as Christmas hope\, delivering presents to families that she had just witnessed in the Deschutes County Drug Court\, turned into a nonprofit organization that serves families (over 120 children) year-round. As the number of recovery homes in Central Oregon is increasing\, the number of children in need of support has become much greater. As long as Choose Joy Foundation has the funding\, they will never turn a family away. This event will help the Choose Joy Foundation serve more children in our community with basic care essentials\, furniture\, clothing\, scholastic activities\, and yes\, Christmas. \nWith the funds raised at Catwalk for a Cause in 2023\, Choose Joy Foundation was able to fully furnish four new recovery homes in partnership with Best Care Treatment Services. With two families per house and two to ten children in each\, Choose Joy Foundation’s support gives mothers a year to get back on their feet after and ensures the children stay out of foster homes. Choose Joy Foundation currently supports over 120 kids currently living in recovery homes in Deschutes County alone. \nAll seventeen of our incredible models have pledged to raise $2500 leading up to the event\, where we will then celebrate their hard work by cheering them on as they walk the Catwalk in two separate looks: Gatsby Glamour & Country Club Chic. We invite our community to join us at the event to cheer on our models\, enjoy appetizers and beverages\, and participate in a live & silent auction\, paddle raise\, and beyond. \nTo get tickets\, help our models meet their pledge amount\, and find out who are partners are\, please check in at kendallgivesback.com upon the launch of the website in the following weeks!

DESCRIPTION:The Kendall Central Oregon team is thrilled to sponsor the 2024 SELCO Pole Pedal Paddle! Our teams are training\, and we are so excited to support Mt. Bachelor Sports Education Foundation with one of the largest events in Central Oregon. For those who have never participated in this event\, the PPP starts at Mt. Bachelor with Nordic & Alpine skiing\, heads toward Bend with a 22-mile bike ride and finishes in the Old Mill District with a 5 mile run\, 1.5 mile kayak\, and 1 mile sprint. Participants can complete this entire event individually\, with a duo\, or in a team relay style! There will be up to six Kendall teams participating\, some showing up for the fun and others to win\, fingers crossed! \nThe MBSEF team is working hard to create a memorable event for our community and needs volunteers to make this event a success!
