Close the Divide – Let’s connect our kids!
We are in the middle of a global pandemic. For the first time being, our students and teachers have a massive educational challenge looming. Remote learning is the next normal. You can help us close the digital divide and set them up for success.
No student deserves to be left behind, and we’re going to do everything in our power to prevent that from happening.
That starts with donating supplies, such as headphones, to ease the transition into remote learning. We are also working toward providing Wi-Fi to families who don’t currently have it in their homes.
YOU CAN HELP!
Each Kendall Eugene dealership will be accepting new-unopened school supplies or headphones and monetary donations to go toward the purchasing of supplies and setting up WiFi.
All donations will directly, and positively, impact students in Lane County.
YOUR DONATION IS DOUBLED!!!
*For Every $1 You Donate Today, Kendall Cares Of Eugene Will Match It!
Together, we can ensure that no child is left behind.
Thousands of students are without access to WiFi
Without real access to high speed internet, kids across Lane County are essentially “logged out of school”.
You can help close the digital divide by making a donation to the Close the Divide Lane County Fund. Kendall Cares of Eugene will be matching every donation up to $15,000!!!
We are working with internet providers to offer inexpensive Wi-Fi rates for students. Any amount you can contribute will make a big difference.
Here’s Three Ways You Can Help!
For thousands of students in our community ‘Back to school’ means gathering in a parking lot and a hunt for a WiFi signal.

There is nothing quite as necessary to remote learning as some peace and quiet, and that comes with a good pair of headphones. Headphones will give students a barrier between their head and the rest of the world. When the headphones are on, they can focus on what they’re doing and not the noise and chaos around them.
The Amazon Wish List (button below) shows the type of headphones that will work best for the students. Any item purchased from the wish list will be delivered to Kendall. You can also purchase similar headphones locally, and drop them by any of the Kendall Eugene Dealerships between now and September 22nd.
