Kendall’s ‘12 Days of Caring’ is a holiday event designed to give back to the markets we serve through a variety of outreach activities centered around our customers, the community, and our employees. Each year, we spend 12 days focusing on our Kendall Cares mission, giving back to local-non-profit organizations, and showing appreciation for our customers and employees.

Day One – Subaru Share the Love Event

We are proud to have selected Bread Line, Inc. as our hometown charity for the 2021 Subaru Share the Love Event!

Subaru will donate $250 to the customer’s choice of a national or our hometown charity, Bread Line, Inc., for every new vehicle bought or leased at our dealership now through January 3, 2022! Kendall Subaru of Fairbanks will donate an additional $50 to Bread Line, Inc. for vehicles leased or sold during the same period. Stop by today!

Day Two – Christmas Comes to Kenai Parade

Kendall Ford of Kenai participated in the annual Christmas Comes to Kenai Parade hosted by the Kenai Chamber of Commerce. Every year local businesses create elaborate floats with lights and Christmas decorations for the parade. This year Kendall staff designed an awesome float pulled and powered by the all new 2021 Powerboost F-150!

Day Three – Volunteering at Covenant House Alaska

Covenant House Alaska serves youth experiencing homelessness. During the holidays, community members purchase gifts directly from Covenant House’s online gift registry for the youth. Kendall staff volunteered for a gift drop off shift to help unload packages from donors and then label them appropriately to coordinate with the youth wish list. Kendall Dodge of Soldotna proudly sponsored this year’s Soldotna Christmas in the Park. Festivities included photos with Santa, reindeer, caroling, Christmas tree lighting, and a firework show! A big shoutout goes to the Soldotna Chamber of Commerce for hosting such an amazing event and spreading some holiday cheer.

This program is a critical starting point for at-risk youth for achieving long-term stability and ending the cycle of homelessness.

Day Nine – Private Movie Screening for VOA AK Youth

VOA Alaska is a non-profit organization that provides mental, emotional and behavioral well-being services and support to youth and their families. The organization manages the Adolescent Residential Center for Help (ARCH) treatment program for youth diagnosed with substance use disorder and/or mental health disorders. At ARCH, a major focus consists of supporting youth in identifying replacement activities such as music, sports, sober parties, outdoor activities, and group outings. Audi Anchorage is proud to have sponsored a private movie outing with snacks for ARCH program youth.

Day Ten – Arctic Warrior Wishes

The Armed Services YMCA Arctic Warrior Wishes program matches service members or military families with community members who want to grant holiday wishes and make impactful connections with military families. Service members and their families submit wishes and Wish Grantors pick which wishes they will grant. Audi Anchorage jumped at the opportunity to grant the wish of a military family new to Alaska in need of camping gear to fully enjoy the Alaskan outdoors this summer.

Day Eleven – Stockings for Service Members

Kendall Toyota of Fairbanks proudly sponsored USO AK’s holiday stockings for service members at Eielson Air Force Base and Fort Wainwright! USO AK and Kendall staff worked together to assemble the stockings at the dealership. Stockings will be delivered directly to service members living in the barracks.

Day Twelve – Special Olympics Alaska Polar Plunge

Kendall Lexus of Alaska is a proud supporter of Special Olympics Alaska and sponsored this year’s Polar Plunge event. The Polar Plunge is a unique opportunity for individuals, organizations, and businesses to support Special Olympics Alaska athletes by gathering pledges and plunging into the icy water of Goose Lake. Shoutout to our very own Adela Elle, Kate Wheeler, and Teresa Campbell for representing Kendall and taking the plunge! This year’s event raised over $300,000 to support Special Olympics Alaska athletes!
