It was the Best Day EVER!

Kendall Central Oregon is thrilled to announce our continued partnership with Oregon Adaptive Sports! Oregon Adaptive Sports creates access to adaptive sports opportunities, such as skiing and mountain biking, to our community members with disabilities. Through a number of programs, events, and partnerships, Oregon Adaptive Sports is able to provide over 2,000 high quality outdoor experiences to more than 400 individuals each year. OAS has a phenomenal team of athletes, coaches, and volunteers that make outdoor activities accessible to all.

Kendall Cares was thrilled to join Oregon Adaptive Sports at one of their first events of the 2024 season, the Ellie Bartlett Junior Racers Ski Day. This annual event at Hoodoo Ski Resort was created in memory of one of OAS’s greatest volunteers, Ellie Bartlett. Thanks to the Ellie Bartlett Memorial Fund and OAS partners, this day of skiing and community is free to youth and young adults with disabilities.

OAS athletes, coaches, and volunteers could not have asked for a better day to celebrate Ellie Bartlett and the beautiful mountains we get to call home. The day started off with some downhill skiing until lunch & a celebration for Ellie. After the OAS Community joined together, they were off again to test out the racecourse. The incredible day ended with an awards ceremony, with OAS athletes receiving awards such as most improved and biggest shredder! Between the shining sun, perfect snow, and smiles coming from every single person, it truly was, as OAS likes to call it, the BEST DAY EVER!!
