Our Community is Peanut Butter Together!

For the entire month of May, Kendall Central Oregon dealerships committed to donating a case of Peanut Butter (6 jars) for every vehicle sold, and 1 jar for serviced vehicles to NeighborImpact Food Bank. With your support, Kendall Auto Central Oregon will be donating 17,986 lbs of peanut butter in addition to the efforts from Newport Market! The peanut butter collected this month will fill food pantries around Central Oregon, including supporting the Summer Lunch Programs to students on free or reduced lunch during the school year. In 2023, 1.2 million meals were provided to students in summer lunch programs across Oregon. PB provides the protein and nutrients to ensure students kindergarten through high school will stay fueled for the summertime, with no stress about where their next meal will come from.

Neighbor Impact Foodbank is nonprofit organization that provides food for Central Oregon through a network of 50 partner agencies and direct client services. NeighborImpact Food Bank sources, recovers, and distributes approximately 6 million pounds of food through local pantries, meal sites, and shelters in Crook, Deschutes, and Jefferson Counties. What does that exactly mean? This network feeds over 60,000 individuals every month including children, families, and older adults.

We could not have done this without our community partners, including YOU for choosing Kendall, as well as our grocery partners, Newport Market & Erickson’s Thriftway. Newport Market not only provided the PB at cost to Kendall for an opportunity to maximize our impact, but hosted the drive in their local grocery store to double the donation. We are so grateful for the additional donations from our community at both Kendall dealerships and Newport Market, allowing us to donate the 17,986 lbs of PB! As Kendall collects the Peanut Butter in our dealerships, we are still collecting donations as we work to ensure all kids in our community have a happy, healthy, and safe summer!
