Stockings for our Brave Superheroes!
Every child deserves stockings for Christmas, especially when they are traveling for medical care! On Day 9 of 12 Days of Caring, the Kendall Elves delivered stockings to the Ronald McDonald House and the Pediatrics & NICU units at St. Charles. At the Ronald McDonald House, the Kendall team also set up a hot chocolate bar for the seven families currently staying there while their child receives care. The stockings were filled with Slumberkins Hero Camp sets, so the kids receiving medical care & their siblings can feel a little braver during a difficult time. The Hero Camp sets were designed to help children discover their own superpowers, by embarking on a journey with the otter kin & his friends. These sets include a cape, books, kins, and a game to teach kids how to set boundaries, ask for help, and show kindness. In addition to Slumberkins sets, the Kendall team filled stockings with socks, activities, décor, and essentials to make their stay at the Ronald McDonald House or St. Charles a bit more joyful.
