4th Annual Kendall Auto Soapbox Derby!

Kendall Central Oregon is thrilled to share all the highlights from the 4th Annual Kendall Auto Soapbox Derby at River’s Edge Golf Course on September 6th 2025. On behalf of the entire Kendall team, thank you to River’s Edge Golf Course, our teams & participants, spectators, nonprofits, and vendors for making this year’s event truly memorable. The 2025 derby brought in a record number of teams (19) and an unbelievable crowd of over 500 people to cheer them on. Not only did the number of teams get better this year, but so did the design of the cars, unique themes, and costumes! We are so proud of the amazing groups that participated this year, from local schools and businesses, nonprofit partners including Oregon Adaptive Sports, and families made up of multiple generations.

Kendall Cares Central Oregon committed to donating $10,000 this year, split between the top three teams and the nonprofits they were representing. To place in the top three, their cars not only needed to be fast and able to withstand the features, but they also had to receive the most votes on their design & creativity, judged by our community, and highest scores on their presentation and style, judged by the Kendall Cares team. Congratulations to our top three teams, as well as their beneficiaries who will be receiving prize money to support the resources and initiatives they provide for our community!

  • 2nd Place – Kendall Toyota of Bend, benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities
  • 3rd Place – Kendall Ford of Bend, benefiting Every Kid Sports
  • Special Recognition, Long Jump Champ – Team Rover 25

This event truly takes a village to host and there are so many thank you’s to be shared!
