Kendall Auto Washington was happy to host The Boys & Girls Clubs of Snohomish County on Wednesday, 7/22 for their Life & Workforce Readiness program. The day was filled with lessons from our sales and tech staff, as kids were able to learn what it’s like to work in the automotive industry. Kids were able to learn sales lessons from Sales Manager, Tal Pierce, were able to see what it’s like to work as a tech with Mobile Service Manager, Steve Lennon, and were able to get a tour of our facilities from Alexa Weber with Kendall Cares. Kids also were able to learn mini lessons on the tour from our Parts Manager, Adam Eli and were able to ask questions about our finance department from Duc Le.
Between lessons, kids were able to participate in a water balloon toss, were able to sit down for lunch where they were treated to pizza, chips, and water, and view a demonstration featuring three of our tech’s doing a tire rotation race! Thank you to Hunter, Kenny, and Isaac for participating, and congrats to Hunter for winning!
Leading up to the event Kendall Ford of Marysville held a food donation drive to benefit our Ford Building Together partner, Feeding America and the kids at The Boys & Girls Clubs of Snohomish County. We held a drive at our dealership from 7/6-7/22, inviting customers, community members, and staff to help us donate snacks and meal items to the kids in our community. At the end of our Life & Workforce Readiness program event, we presented the kids with a truck full of meal items and snacks to take back to their clubs. The kids were very excited and were also happy to take home some swag, including water bottles and cloud putty.
