Moments of Hope: 60 Seconds of the Kendall Catwalk Magic
The Full Experience: A Recap of the Unforgettable Evening
A Night Celebrating Glamour, Giving, and Hope for Families in Central Oregon
Kendall’s Catwalk for a Cause Benefiting Furnish Hope was an unforgettable evening, reminding us just how strong the power of community is when we all come together to support the same mission. Thanks to our models, sponsors, and supporters, we raised just over $272,000 – enough to Furnish 272 homes for families in need.
The event kicked off at Kendall Toyota of Bend on November 8th, as guests were welcomed with a beautiful sunset. Before supporters entered the building, they walked through a moving recipient story. They met Anthony, a young man whose family of five was living in a car in the woods during freezing temperatures, a few years ago when he was only 14 years old. The first scene revealed their car, where survival was the daily goal. The second scene transitioned to a hotel room—a temporary shelter made possible by an angel in our community, Ranae Staley. Finally, guests stepped into the furnished home where Anthony and his family now live, a tangible picture of restoration and hope.
Anthony became the heart of the evening, sharing his story firsthand—from barely surviving to now thriving. His words reminded us all why Furnish Hope exists: to meet people in hard places and help them rebuild their lives with dignity and warmth. Behind the scenes, an incredible team of volunteers and team members worked tirelessly to bring the event to life. We’re also deeply grateful to our hosts of the evening, Auctioneer Molly May and Emcee Lynsey Harris.
Our incredible group of 21 community models embodied that same light of hope as they walked the runway. For the past six months, they’ve been raising awareness and funds through their businesses, families, and networks. On event night, we celebrated the $76,000 they raised together toward the Furnish Hope mission. The models hit the runway in two different looks: Light of Hope and Dignity Worn Deep. Each look had a purpose – not only to celebrate their efforts, but to display the heart and mission of Furnish Hope during the paddle raise and through building a vignette on stage.
Long-time Furnish Hope volunteer and first-time model Trish Oury was crowned Top Model, having raised $10,102. Her spirit and joy was evident to all. The top three also included Jim Bendis ($9,597) and the dynamic duo, Cole Billings and Mollie Hogan ($7,747). The dedication of all our models is a reminder that hope is something we live, give and share!
Kendall Auto Group is beyond honored to work alongside Furnish Hope and the incredible work they are doing in our community to give over 600 families the chance at a new beginning every year. From the paddle raise to the live auction to the Mugs of Hope, every part of the evening reflected generosity and community. As we all know, the difference one person, or one organization can make is meaningful, but the difference a community can make is transformational. Thank you to all who made this evening truly memorable and for helping us support families right here in Central Oregon.
