Star’s Great Cardboard Regatta is setting sail, and you won’t want to miss it!
📅 June 20, 2026
📍 Star’s Riverhouse & Freedom Park Lake
What’s a Regatta?
It’s a family-friendly, laugh-out-loud boat race where teams build vessels made entirely out of cardboard and duct tape then launch them onto Freedom Park Lake to see what happens next!
Forget fancy yachts. These boats run on creativity, teamwork, and a little bit of bravery. Some will cruise across the water like champions… others may discover their true calling as submarines. Either way, it’s guaranteed fun for everyone watching (and paddling).
Crews design their own floating masterpieces and race head-to-head, trying to stay afloat longer than the competition. Expect big splashes, pirate sightings, and plenty of community spirit.
Most importantly, this event supports a powerful cause. The Great Cardboard Regatta raises funds for the Star Food Bank’s Capital Campaign, helping provide food and essential resources to families right here in our community.
At Kendall, we’re proud to support events that bring families together and make a real difference.
Grab your crew, come cheer on the racers, and help us make waves for a great cause.
We’ll see you at the lake!
