Another thrilling weekend of speed, horsepower, and unforgettable memories is in the books as Firebird Raceway hosted the 49th Annual Little Caesars Pizza Great American Fox Hunt, proudly presented by Kendall Auto Group.
For nearly five decades, the Fox Hunt has been one of Firebird’s most legendary traditions, and this year’s event once again delivered an incredible experience for racers and fans alike. From the thunderous roar of Supercharged Funny Cars and Blown Dragsters to the jaw-dropping spectacle of Jet Dragsters and Jet Funny Cars reaching speeds of nearly 280 mph, the weekend was packed with excitement from start to finish.
Competitors from across the region took to the track in a variety of classes, including Super Pro, Pro, Sportsman, Bike/Sled, Nostalgia, Fox Eliminator, and Pro Comp, while the NHRA Division 6 “Land of the Leaders” series brought some of the Northwest’s top racers to Idaho.
Saturday night’s main event provided the perfect finale, featuring spectacular pro showdowns, fire-breathing jet machines, and championship finals under the lights. Generations of racing enthusiasts came together to celebrate the sport and continue a tradition that has become a summer favorite in the Treasure Valley.
