As Idaho’s first semi-professional box lacrosse team, the Boise Bighorns are doing more than competing at a high level. Since launching in 2025, they’ve been on a mission to grow the game across the Treasure Valley by introducing youth to the exciting world of box lacrosse through clinics, camps, and community events.

What is Box Lacrosse?

Often called the “fastest game on two feet,” box lacrosse is played in an enclosed arena, creating nonstop action, quick decision-making, and incredible teamwork. The fast pace helps athletes improve hand-eye coordination, speed, agility, communication, and confidence, all while having an absolute blast.

Whether your child is brand new to lacrosse or already plays the field game, box lacrosse is a fantastic way to build skills and develop a higher lacrosse IQ.

Join the FREE Junior Horns Youth Box Clinic

The Boise Bighorns are inviting young athletes to their FREE Junior Horns Youth Box Clinic on August 22-23 at Eagle Skate Park.

During the clinic, participants will:

  • Learn the fundamentals of box lacrosse
  • Build stick skills and ball control
  • Improve lacrosse IQ and game awareness
  • Experience a fun, fast-paced environment led by experienced coaches
  • Meet other young athletes who love to compete and have fun

Participants should bring their lacrosse gear and be ready to learn, move, and enjoy an exciting weekend of box lacrosse.
