Each day, children in our community enter the foster care system because of difficult circumstances at home. Many are removed unexpectedly and arrive in care with little to no clothing, toiletries, or basic essentials.

These children are then placed into foster homes whenever possible. When a foster placement is not immediately available, they may have to stay in temporary locations until a safe home is found. Foster + Heart was created to meet this need by providing a loving, safe place for children during those critical moments of transition.

This year, the community is once again coming together to make a difference. On Wednesday, May 6, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., donations of new clothing, toiletries, and essential supplies will be collected at Walmart on Ten Mile in Meridian. These items will go directly to children in crisis through Foster + Heart.

Every donation sends a powerful message to a child in need: you are seen, you are valued, and you are not forgotten.
