Kendall Central Oregon is set to host the Cub Scouts district-wide Pinewood Derby on Saturday, March 16th! This will be the second year that Kendall is hosting the Pinewood Derby for six cub scouts’ packs, giving over 100 kids the opportunity to put their building & engineering skills to the test down the track. The Pinewood Derby is a beloved tradition that involves building small cars that encourage the scout’s creativity and craftsmanship. The kids not only learn how to engineer their own cars, but the value of teamwork, sportsmanship, and adaptability in competitive situations. Kendall invites our community to join us in cheering on the scouts starting at 10:00am and creating a memorable & impactful experience for the kids, families, and staff involved. According to the Crater Lake Council, “The Pinewood Derby is a highlight of the Cub Scout experience, and we can’t wait to see all the amazing creations in action. See you at the races!”
