ABOUT

The Choose Joy Foundation was founded on the premise that every child deserves a happy, healthy childhood. Our mission is to restore, in whatever way we can, normalcy to the lives of children affected by substance abuse.

So many people get frustrated with the addict that they forget about the children who get left behind. In Central Oregon, up to four family recovery homes open every quarter. If individuals experiencing substance abuse can get into a recovery home, their likelihood of long-term recovery increases. While in the recovery home, Choose Joy staff and volunteers support all family rehab needs while the parents focus on recovering. With the fast-paced growth of recovery homes and individuals experiencing substance abuse, the demand for support is outgrowing the resources in our community.

“Each situation is unique, and we will do our best to fulfill the needs requested. As long as we have the funding, we will never turn away a child.”
In the United States, 1 in 8 children ages 17 or younger are living in households with at least one parent who has a substance abuse disorder. Supporting Choose Joy Foundation means we can:
• Serve children ages 0-18 years old
• Be able to donate $400 – $1500/child based on needs and circumstance
• Restore normalcy & joy to a child’s life while parents are in recovery
• Help prevent the generational substance abuse cycle that exists in families
